Intro + Bio
I try to leave out the parts that people skip.
                                                       ~Elmore Leonard

I'm a writer and content strategist. I can drive a forklift. I am proficient with a chef’s knife, mix a mean Manhattan, and speak a little bit of Swahili. I own four bikes if you include my Schwinn Suburban (three steel, one carbon fiber), have a fondness for bourbon and, if forced to choose, I prefer the button down collar. I think Twitter is awesome.

I’ve contributed copywriting and content creation work for these brands: Adidas, Nike, Giro, Bell Helmets, Columbia Sportswear, Nau, HP, Sonos, Jawbone, Logitech, Microsoft, and Reebok. Agencies I’ve partnered with include Wieden + Kennedy, Nemo, Cinco Design, Ziba Design and Possible.

Journalism, non-fiction and poetry of mine has appeared in a range of publications both print and online, including Bon Appétit, Saveur, Epicurious, Portland Monthly, Poetry International, Washington Square, Inkwell, The Clackamas Literary Review and others.

I grew up surfing, climbing and racing BMX in San Diego, moved to Portland, OR for college and have been here ever since--save for a few years at New York University, where I was a University Fellow and earned an MFA in poetry. I miss New York all the time, but she understands.
